Contents:

Per dose

Iprotropium bromide 20 mcg, fenoterol hydrobromide 50 mcg.

 

Indications:

Maintenance therapy & prophylaxis of dyspnoea in chronic obstructive bronchitis, emphysema & bronchopulmonary disorders with bronchospasm or chronic bronchial hyper-reactivity. Long-term treatment & therapy of acute asthmatic attacks. To prepare & assist aerosol therapy with antibiotics, mucolytics, corticosteroids & other locally applied bronchotherapeutics.

 

Dosage:

Aerosol

Preventive, intermitt & long-term treatment

1-2 doses several times daily. Usually 1-2 doses three times daily

Imminent dyspnea

2 doses, if required 2 additional doses after 5 minutes.

 

Contraindications:

Hyperthroidism, subvalvular aortic stenosis, tachyarrhythmias & hypersensitivity to atropine-like substances.

 

Special Precautions:

Diabetic patients with unstable metabolism; recent myocardial infarction, severe organic heart or vascular disorders; narrow-angle glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy.

 

Adverse Reactions:

Fine tremor of fingers, restlessness, palpitation, tachycardia, dizziness or headache. Dry mouth, throat irritation or cough.

 

Drug interactions:

Effects enhanced by other β-adrenergics, anticholinergics or xanthine derivative & corticosteroid. Action reduced by non-cardioselective β-blockers.
