Presentation and composition
Box of 30 film-coated tablets.
Micronized purified flavonoid
fraction corresponding to ........... 500mg
• Diosmin : 90% ........... 450mg
• Flavonoids expressed as
hesperidin : 10% ............. 50mg
Therapeutic properties
Vascular protector and venous
tonic. Daflon 500 is active on the return vascular system in the following
way :
• It reduces venous
distensibility and venous stasis.
• In the microcirculation, it
normalizes capillary permeability and reinforces capillary resistance.
Therapeutic
indications
Treatment of organic and
functional chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs with the
following symptoms :
• heavy legs
• pain
• nocturnal cramps
Treatment of chronic hemorrhoids and acute hemorrhoidal attacks.
Side effects
Some cases of minor gastrointestinal and neurovegetative disorders have
been reported, which never required cessation of treatment.

Incompatibilities
None Usage during pregnancy Experimental studies did not show
any teratogenic effect in animals. In human beings, no harmful effect has so
far been reported. Contraindications None Dosage and route
of administration Usual dose in chronic conditions : 2
film-coated tablets daily in two divided doses morning and evening at
mealtimes. In acute hemorrhoidal attacks, 6 film-coated tablets daily ( in 3
divided doses ) for 3 to 4 days, then 4 film-coated tablets daily ( in 2
divided doses ).
Storage conditions Store at room temperature, below 30°C.
