Description

Orange, Oblong, biconvex, top-scored and film-coated tablet

Content
Each tablet contains:
Diosmin (micronised) 450.0 mg
Hesperidin (micronised) 50.0 mg

Indication
For hemorrhoids and chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs with symptoms like heavy legs, pain, nocturnal cramps and varicose veins.

Pharmacology
Diosmin and hesperidin are bioflavonoids found in many citrus fruits. The bioflavonoids reinforce venous tone by prolonging the activity of parietal noradrenaline, thus reduces venous distensibility and venous status.

The bioflavonoids also combat venous inflammation by inhibiting the release of its mediators, principally free radicals and prostaglandins. Thus, it normalizes capillary resistance.

Breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment. Patients who are hypersensitive to the bioflavonoids should be contraindicated.

Side effects/Adverse reactions
Some cases of minor gastrointestinal and autonomic disorders have been reported, which never required cessation of treatment.

Precautions
No teratogenic effects have been shown in animals and no harmful effect in human beings has been reported.

However, breast-feeding is not recommended during treatment, as there is no data related to diffusion into the

In acute hemorrhoidal episodes, physician must be consulted if hemorrhoid symptoms do not disappear within two weeks.
