Contents:

Pyritinol dihydrochloride monohydrate.

 

Indications:

Oral Symptoms of cerebral insufficiency due to metabolic & circulatory disturbances of the brain, conditions after craniocerebral traumata, apopletic strokes, intoxications & encephalitis. Impaired mental development in children as a consequence of perinatal distress.

Infusion Craniocerebral traumata & sequelae after brain operations, initial treatment of cerebral vascular processes, cerebral involution symptoms prophylaxis against post-narcotic confusion states, conditions after cerebral anoxis eg. as a result of cardiac arrest.

 

Dosage:

Oral

Adult 600 mg daily.

Children 50-300 mg daily, according to age & indication. Treatment should be continue for at least 6-8 week.

Infusion 1-2 ampoules daily. In severe cases up to 5 ampoules daily. Maintain treatment with oral forms.

 

Contraindications:

Tab : Rheumatoid arthritis patients with severe kidney & liver function disorders, serious changes in blood counts; auto-immune diseases with lupus erythematosus, myasthenia, pemphigus.

 

Adverse reactions:

Rarely

Skin rash, rise in temperature, gastrointestinal & hepatic disorder, taste disturbances, over-excitability symptoms, single cases of pemphigus-like skin reactions & lichen planus.

 

Drug interactions:

D-penicillamine, gold preparation, levamisole.

Coated tab 100 mg x 100's.

Forte coated tab 200 mg x 100's.

Liquid 80.5 mg/5 mL x 200 mL.

Ampoules 200 mg x 15's.
