Kaloba

 

Composition
Each film-coated tablet contains 20mg of
EPs 7630, a proprietary extract of the dried roots of Pelargonium sidoides.


Indications
Traditionally used for the relief of common cold and cough.


Dosage & Administration
(Tablets to be taken before meals & with some water)
• Adults & children over 12 years: take 1 tablet 3 times daily
• Children between 6 - 12 years: take 1 tablet 2 times daily (morning and evening)


After relief of the symptoms, continue taking Kaloba for several days in order to prevent a relapse. The total duration of taking should not exceed 3 weeks.


Pregnancy & Lactation
Kaloba should not be used during pregnancy and lactation, as no adequate studies are available.

• If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to Pelargonium sidoides extract or any other ingredients of
Kaloba


IN VERY RARE CASES, PELARGONIUM SIDOIDES MAY CAUSE
HYPERSENSITIVITY REACTIONS.


Side Effects
In the context of infections of the respiratory tract, gastrointestinal complaints such as stomach pain, heartburn, nausea or diarrhea may occur in rare cases.


In rare cases, mild bleeding from the gums or nose may occur.


Hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. skin rash, urticaria, itching of the skin and mucous membranes) have also been described in rare cases. Such reactions may already occur on first taking Kaloba. In very rare cases, serious hypersensitivity reactions with swelling of the face, shortness of breath and drop of blood pressure may occur.


Take special care with Kaloba
You should not use Kaloba if you have severe liver and/or kidney disease, as no adequate data are available in these fields.
