Softgel Capsules
Each softgel capsule contains a
specialised formulation of highly standardised Ginseng Extract IDB with
multivitamins, minerals and lipotropic substances for a well-balanced daily
health supplement.
Description
14 minim, oblong softgel capsules
(brown colour) containing a suspension (brown colour).
Softgel is attractive and easy to swallow. Its greatest benefit lies in
the fact that it allows its contents to be released quickly and absorption
can take effect immediately. It is also sugar-free, thus suitable for
diabetics as well.
Formulation and Therapeutic
Properties
PROVITON contains highly
concentrated Ginseng Extract IDB, prepared in specification to a special
process of extraction which ensures its active ingredient, Ginsenoside Rg1
stays above 14%. The ginseng content is also standardised to ensure that the
ratio between the 2 ginsenosides, Rg1 and Rb1, are consistent from batch to
batch, ensuring the same potency and efficacy in each and every preparation.
This is made possible by extraction from only the main root of genuine Panax
Ginseng C.A. Meyer within the optimum performance age in the range of 4 to 6
years. The end product is totally devoid of pesticides, residual solvents
and heavy metals.
Ginseng Extract IDB produces an 'adaptogenic'
effect on mental performance and physical performance, thereby enhancing the
adaptation capabilities of the organism when faced with mental and physical
stress and strain.
PROVITON also contains high
strengths of Vitamin B Complex. Vitamin Bs are involved in the various
metabolic processes in the body to release energy.
Vitamin C and many of the B group
of vitamins cannot be stored in the body. There are various situations where
an individual requires supplementation for the B group of vitamins. These
include coping under stressful conditions, recovering from infections and
heavy smoking or drinking. women taking oral contraceptives tend to also
require supplementation of the B group of vitamins.
A combination of other essential
vitamins and minerals are included in the PROVITON formulation to ensure
adequate and balanced supplementation of these important elements to the
body. They help to overcome any possible deficiencies which may occur when
there is increased demand such as during convalescence after illness,
advancing age or stressful conditions which may result in poor appetite or
poor absorption of nutrients. the vitamins exercise catalytic functions
which facilitate the synthesis and degradation of the principal nutrients,
namely carbohydrates, proteins and fats, thereby controlling metabolism. The
minerals participate in many biochemical and physiological processes and are
necessary for bodily functions and health.
Lecithin is made up of lipotropic
substances which include choline, inositol, linoleic acid and linolenic acid
and helps in the metabolism of fats in the body.

Indications
PROVITON is recommended for use
as a dietary supplement. It can be taken in situations where the
supplementation of vitamins and minerals are necessary, eg. when a balanced
diet is not possible or when there is insufficient nutrition, as a result of
poor absorption, loss of appetite or special dietary restrictions. it is
also especially useful during times when increased vitamin and mineral
requirements are necessary as in convalescence after illness, pre- and
post-surgical procedures or radiotherapy treatment. It is suitable not only
for the aged but also for all adults, especially those who due to their
nature of work or diet need special supplementation to keep them going.
Dosage
1 softgel capsule to be taken
daily, preferably in the morning with breakfast. For easy swallowing: Sip
some water, place the softgel in the mouth, then swallow with half a glass
of water. If at any time there is difficulty in swallowing, the softgel may
be cut open and the contents mixed with juices, honey or other food before
taking.
Contraindications
There is no contraindication at
the recommended dosage.
