SCMC syrup

 

SCMC/SCMC PLUS Syrup contains S-carboxy-methylcystein, an active mucolytic agent. It is suitable for wet cough where there si excessive phlegm present. It loosens phlegm so that it can be coughed out easily. Thus the main cause of throat irritation is removed and cough is relieved.

Methylparaben 0.21 %

Propylparaben 0.031 %

SCMC PLUS Syrup ( For adults )

250 mg / 5 ml

Methylparaben 0.21 %

Propylparaben 0.031 %

 

DOSAGE

SCMC Syrup

Children

2-5 years: 2.5 - 5 ml four times daily.

5 - 12 years: 10 ml thrice daily.

 

Adults

750 mg (30ml) thrice daily, reduced to 500 mg (20ml) when a response is obtained.

 

SCMC PLUS Syrup

Adult and children above 12 years: 15 ml 3 times daily.

 

Side Effects

Occasional gastrointestinal irritation and rashes.

 

Precautions/warnings

Gastric ulceration.

 

Packing

SCMC/SCMC Plus Syrup is supplied in bottle of 30ml, 60ml, 100ml, 250ml, 500ml, 1L and 3.8L.
