AV nodal reciprocating tachycardia, Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome & similar conditions with accessory pathway & anterograde or retrograde conduction. Symptoms sustained ventricular tachycardia. Premature ventricular contractions &/or non-sustained
ventricular tachycardia where these are resistant to other therapy or when other treatment has not been tolerated. Maintenance of normal rhythm following conversation by other means.
Ventricular tachycardia resistant to other treatment. AV nodal reciprocating tachycardia, Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome & similar conditions with accessory pathway & anterograde or retrograde conduction.
Tab 1 tab twice
daily. Max: 2 twice daily.
Cardiac failure, history of MI, sinus nodal dysfunction, atrial conduction defects, 2nd degree or greater AV block, bundle branch block or distal block degree unless pacing rescue is available.
Electrolyte disturbances, hepatic
impairment, patients with permanent pacemakers or temporary pacing
electrodes; predisposition to cardiac failure.
Giddiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, visual disturbances, nausea & vomiting. Proarrhythmia may occur in patients with structural heart disease &/or significant left ventricular impairment.
Can cause rise in plasma digoxin. Possible additive negative inotropic effects of β-blockers & other cardiac depressants. Enzyme inducers enhance elimination.
Tab 100 mg x 100's.
Ampoules 10 mg/mL x 15mL x 5's.
