Tamsolo Expectorant
Description
Slightly viscous green colour
syrup with menthol flavour.
Indications
For the relief of coughs and
loosening of thick phlegm.
Content
Each 5ml Cosmos Tamsolo contains:
Guaiphenesin
..................................................100mg.
Methyl & Propyl Paraben (
Preservatives ) ..... 0.14% w/v
Ethanol
.......................................................... 0.8% v/v
Properties
Guaiphenesin has an expectorant
action which increases the output of respiratory tract fluid by reducing
adhesiveness and surface tension. The increased flow of less viscid
secretions promotes ciliary action and facilitates the removal of mucus.
Dosage
Adult: 2 teaspoonfuls, 3
to 4 times daily.
Children: 7-12 years old;
1 teaspoonful, 4 times daily.
2-6 years old;
½ teaspoonful, 3 times daily.
Pack Size
In bottles of 70ml, 90ml and
120ml.
Shelf Life
3 years from manufacturing date.
Store in a dry place below 25°C.
Keep out of reach of children.
