Cough relief for children
Composition
Each 5 ml ( teaspoon ) contains
50 mg Guaiphenesin.
Preservative: Sodium Benzoate 5
mg
Potassium Sorbate 5 mg
Properties
Guaiphenesin reduces the
viscosity of phlegm in the throat. Guaiphenesin also acts as an expectorant
to facilitate the removal of phlegm.
Indication
As an expectorant for symptomatic
relief of cough due to colds, relieves excessive phlegm and soothes sore
irritated throat.
Dosage and Administration
Children
2 - 6 years : 5 ml - 10 ml ( 1 -
2 teaspoons )
6 -12 years : 10 ml - 20 ml ( 2 -
4 teaspoons ).
To be taken every 4 hours if
necessary.
Children below 2 years,
please consult doctor.
If symptoms persist, please
consult doctor.
Side effects
Less frequently occurs: Diarrhoea,
nausea & vomiting and stomach pain
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to Guaiphenesin.
Storage
Store at room temperature below
30°C. Keep this and all medicines out of reach of children.
Shelf Life
Do not use beyond the expiry
date.
