Tramal
Contents:
Tramadol hydrochloride
Indications:
Moderate to severe acute or
chronic pain & in painful diagnostic or therapeutic measures.
Dosage:
Adult & adolescent
> 14 years Cap 1-2 cap as
single dose. Injection 1 Tramal 100 ampoule or 1-2 Tramal 50 ampoule
intra-mascular (IM), slow intravenous, subcutaneous (SC) or intravenous
infusion. Drops 20-40 drop. Supp 1 suppository. Daily doses of
> 400 mg are usually not necessary.
Children
> 1 year 1-2 mg/kg body weight as
single dose. In impaired or renal or hepatic function it may be necessary to
adjust the dosage intervals.
Contraindications:
Acute intoxication with alcohol,
hypnotics, analgesics or psychotropics.
Special precautions:
Hypersensitivity to opioids.
Patients known to suffer from convulsions. Pregnancy & lactation. Capacity
to drive or operate machines may be impaired, especially if taken with
alcohol.
Adverse Reactions:
Sweating, dizziness, nausea,
vomiting, dry mouth, fatigue. In rare cases, convulsions; influence on
cardiovascular system (CVS) regulation, especially after intravenous
administration. If recommended dosage is exceeded considerably, possibility
of respiratory depression cannot be excluded.
Drug indications:
Sedative effects of some central
nervous system (CNS) drugs can be enhanced. Avoid concurrent administration
of MAO inhibitors.
Presentation/Packing:
Cap 50 mg x 10's.
Drops 100 mg/mL x 10 mL
Ampoule 100 mg/2 mL x 5's. 50 mg/mL
x 5's.
Suppository 100 mg x 5's.
