Description

A green opaque ointment, with a characteristic odour.

 

Composition

Each 100 g contains :

Eucalyptus Oil  ..... 5.03 g

Camphor ............. 1.81 g

Thyme Oil ...........  0.50 g

Sassafras Oil .......  0.62 g

 

Properties and Effect

Zam-Buk ointment contains camphor and eucalyptus oil which act as an external stimulant with rubefacient, anti-pruritic and mild analgesic properties.

 

Indications

Medicated ointment for external application. Indicated for temporary relief of pain and itch associated with minor wounds, burns, scalds, chapped hands, mosquitoes and insect bites.

 

Directions for use

Apply gently to affected area. Covering with sterile gauze is optional.

 

Warnings

This product is contraindicated in infants under 2 years of age. Caution must be exercised when older children are treated.

 

Precautions

It is dangerous to place any camphor containing product into the nostril of children. A small amount applied this way may cause immediate collapse.

 

Overdosage

In case of accidental poisoning, empty stomach with gastric lavage. Administer a saline laxative and activated charcoal.

 

Storage Conditions

Store below 25°C.

 

Shelf-life

This medicine should not be used after the expiry date (EXP) shown on the pack.

 

User instruction

The importance in cleanliness cannot be over-emphasised. The presence of dirt, germs or other contaminations not only retards healing but actually increases irritations of any inflamed surface. Always replace the lid immediately after using Zam-Buk.
