Monitoring blood pressure
SELF-monitoring of blood pressure by patients at home is
being increasingly used as an
additional source of information by
healthcare professionals.
Current guidelines recommend
that only validated devices for blood
pressure measurement be used in
clinical and home settings. A study
published in the Blood Pressure
Monitoring Journal showed that Microlife's BPA100 Plus meets these
validation requirements.
Microlife's BPA100 Plus is an
upper arm oscillometric device featuring Microlife's patented technologies of Microlife Average Mode
(MAM) and Pulse Arrhythmia
Detection (PAD).
The Microlife blood pressure monitor with MAM technology automatically
takes three blood pressure measurement at intervals of 15 seconds. Based on
this, a result will be calculated. If the differences between the three
measurements are too great, the device reacts with a fourth measurement
before it calculates the correct value.
The advantage of the MAM technology is an increased reliability
compared to a single measurement.
In addition, the PAD technology
allows for the detection of arrhythmias.
Microlife BPA100 Plus is designed
with customers' needs in mind. Other
user-friendly features are:
• Super-large display
• Key switches in front and and less
important switches on the side
• Easy to use and less bulky cuff
• Cuff storage space
• Traffic light information
• 3-year warranty
• Clinically-tested by BHS (British
Hypertension Society)
