Dao Dragon Plum
Dracontomelum dao, REN MIAN GUO
The dao dragon plum ren mian guo
(person's face fruit) is also called ren mian zi (person's face) and yin ren
( silver harvest).
It is an evergreen tree growing
to a height of 20 meters. The fruit is pulpy and shaped like a flattened
ball with a diameter of 20 mm.
The fruit ripens in the autumn,
when the surface becomes yellow and the flesh soft. The fruit has a
sour-sweet flavor. The seed is hard, shaped like a flattened ball and pitted
with small hollows.
The flavor of the fruit is sour,
its nature cool.
The fruit can benefit the spleen,
aid digestion, promote saliva and quench thirst. It contains carbohydrates,
vitamin C, organic acids, tannin, etc.
APPLICATIONS
1. INDIGESTION; LACK OF APPETITE.
Take one or two pieces of dried or fresh fruit and eat them. do this two or
three times a day.
2. NAUSEA AND VOMITING DURING
PREGNANCY. Take two or three pieces of salted fruit and slowly chew
them.
3. DRY THROAT WITH THIRST; THROAT
SWOLLEN AND PAINFUL; DIFFICULTY IN SWALLOWING. Take 3-5 pieces of dry or
salted fruit, stem in water, then slowly suck them. Do this three times a
day.
4. NETTLE RASH, URTICARIA;
PRURITUS. Take 5 fresh or dried fruits, simmer in water and serve. Also take
10-30 pieces of fruit, add a little salt and simmer in water until reduced
to a thick juice. Apply this to the affected part three times a day.
5. HANGOVER. Take 5 pieces of
salted fruit, steam in water and serve.
6. CARBUNCLES; BOILS. Take 2-5
pieces of fresh fruit, discard the stone and crush the flesh, then apply to
the affected part.
PREPARATION
SALTED FRUIT (known as YAN YIN
REN). For every 500 grams of fresh fruit take 500 grams of table salt, mix
together and place in an earthenware jar for some time, the loner the
better.
