EPSOM SALTS, HYDRATED MAGNESIUM SULPHATE

 

Ground down to a salt, this mineral has been one of the most popular orthodox remedies for constipation and hangovers. However, overuse is not advisable.

 

Named after a spring in Epsom, Surrey, which contains the mineral, magnesium sulphate, in solution, Epsom salts have enjoyed a huge usage that some people think is undeserved. Magnesium sulphate can still be found in many remedies for constipation and over-indulgence.
